If you have any problems, check our eSIM Troubleshooting Guide or contact us 😊

You’ll need WiFi for installation, so do it before departure and this way you will be connected as soon as you arrive.
If you run into any issues, our eSIM Troubleshooting Guide can help, or contact us directly.
Yes - ZenSim’s eSIMs work in 200+ destinations, and Macau is included. For travellers needing multiple-country access, we offer regional eSIMs. You can find those on our Travel eSIMs page.

Yep! 99% of our eSIMs can be topped up within the ZenSim app with just a couple of clicks. If you run out of data, need more days, or you even want to add a new destination to the same eSIM, you can do all of this in the top up section in the Zen Garden in the app.
Log into the app, navigate to the Zen Garden to find your Macau service, and you will see a button to up your eSIM right there.
Top up plan options: Macau top up plans are the same as the plans on the website except with a 10% discount!
Extending a long trip: If you're travelling to Macau for more than 30 days, you can add as many top ups as you need to your first eSIM to extend the days and data you have. Each top up will only take effect when the previous eSIM is expired so you can purchase the top ups any time you want without worrying about overwriting your existing plan.
Multi country top ups: You can now add multiple countries to most of our eSIMs via top up, so if you're in Europe for example and are stopping over in Dubai on the way home, you can add a Dubai top up to your Europe eSIM so you don't need to reinstall anything. Alternate country top ups will only activate when you arrive in the new country.
After activation in Macau, your eSIM won’t usually work elsewhere. Each country typically needs its own eSIM unless you're using a regional one.
To make travel easier, try one of our regional Travel eSIMs - they work across entire continents.
You bet there is! Once you purchase an Macau eSIM you will be able to access your unique referral URL which you can share with your travel buds.
If they click the URL and purchase a plan they will save A$5 on their order and you will receive a A$5 voucher on your account which will be automatically applied on your next purchase (provided they are a new customer of course).
You can track your referrals and access your referral URL in the ZenSim app. Check out our terms for more info.
Great question! Our Macau unlimited plans come with a 3GB daily allowance, which is plenty for most travellers - the average person uses under 1GB a day.
If you do blow past that in a single day, your speed drops to 1Mbps until midnight, when your daily allowance resets and you're back to full speed.
If you're on a fixed-data plan instead (say 10GB or 20GB), there's no daily cap at all - use as much as you like until the plan runs out. We'll give you a heads up before that happens, and topping up is just a couple of taps away in the ZenSim app.
It won't activate the moment you buy it - your Macau eSIM won't touch your data or days until you actually arrive, so there's no downside to installing it in advance.
As long as it's installed beforehand, it'll activate itself the second you touch down, and that's the moment your plan officially begins.
As for running out - your eSIM expires once your data or days are gone, whichever comes first (just the days, if you're on unlimited). Buy a 30-day plan and it'll run out 30 days after arrival in Macau, not 30 days after purchase.
Simplest way is to pop your phone into our eSIM compatibility checker - it'll tell you straight away whether it's good to go with our Macau eSIM and the networks behind it.
If you're still unsure after that, get in touch with us and we'll help you figure it out. And just in case your phone isn't compatible after all, our refund policy means you'll get a full refund - so go ahead and grab a plan without the worry.
Yep, that's precisely why we offer a 100% money back guarantee.
Whether it's a cancelled trip, an incompatible phone, or your travel plans simply shifting, you're covered either way.
You'll find the full breakdown in our refund policy, but the gist is: can't install it, can't use it, we'll refund it in full. Simple as that.

Top 3 things to do in Macau
Explore the Historic Ruins of St. Paul’s
One of Macau’s most iconic landmarks, the Ruins of St. Paul’s, is a must-visit for history and culture lovers. Once a grand 17th-century church, only the impressive stone façade remains after a fire destroyed the building in 1835. The site is now a UNESCO-listed attraction and offers breathtaking views over Macau from the top of the staircase. Surrounding the ruins, you’ll find charming alleyways filled with local bakeries selling Portuguese egg tarts, souvenir shops, and cultural museums. It’s the perfect place to experience Macau’s rich blend of Portuguese and Chinese heritage.
Experience the Thrill of Macau’s Casino Scene
Macau is known as the ‘Las Vegas of the East’, boasting some of the world’s largest and most luxurious casinos. From the grandeur of The Venetian Macau, which features an indoor canal complete with gondola rides, to the futuristic design of the Grand Lisboa, the city’s entertainment scene is world-class. Even if you’re not into gambling, the spectacular live shows, gourmet dining, and luxury shopping make Macau’s casinos a unique experience. Whether you’re here for the thrill of the games or just to soak up the atmosphere, Macau’s casino district is not to be missed.
Take in the Views from Macau Tower
For the best panoramic views of the city, head to Macau Tower, which stands at 338 metres tall. The observation deck offers stunning views of the city skyline, the Pearl River Delta, and even Hong Kong on a clear day. Thrill-seekers can try the world’s highest commercial bungee jump, walk around the tower’s outer rim, or test their courage on the glass-floored skywalk. For a more relaxing experience, enjoy a meal at the revolving 360° Café, where you can dine with an ever-changing cityscape in the background.
